Honda HR-V Expected to Hit Dealerships This Week

Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan Limited (HACPL) is expected to launch the Honda HR-V by end of the week and the vehicle will be displayed at various 3S Dealerships across the country. According to PakWheels, the launch of the Honda HR-V is expected to take place in the next 4-5 days as per a source that provided them with exclusive information to about the highly-anticipated crossover SUV.

As per their sources, Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan Limited (HACPL) plans to launch two locally assembled variants of the Honda HR-V in Pakistan. According to the details, the base variant of the Honda HR-V will be called VTi, while the top-of-the-line variant will be named VTi-S.

Honda HR-V Expected Price in Pakistan

The expected price of the Honda HR-V VTi in Pakistan is Rs. 6.3 to 6.5 million, while the top-of-the-line VTi S variant will be sold for Rs. 6.7 million. If the vehicle ends up being priced similar to the report, it will provide tough competition to already popular crossover SUVs in the local automotive market like the Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson or even MG HS.

Engine and Transmission

According to the report, the Honda HR-V is expected to be launched in Pakistan with the same 1.5L engine found in the Honda BR-V, a popular 7-seater SUV by the company, with a CVT transmission. Furthermore, the base variant is expected to provide 145 horsepower (hp), while the top-of-the-line variant will be able to produce 189 horsepower (hp).

Rumors of Delayed Launch

Despite the PakWheels report, there are rumors that launch of the Honda HR-V in Pakistan may end up being delayed due to instable economic condition of the country as automobile sector is already struggling with sales and delivery of vehicles because of the constant fluctuations in the currency rate and restrictions of imports of CKD kits by the State Bank of Pakistan.

According to the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA),  Honda Atlas witnessed a sharp decline of 29% as company sold just 1280 units in September 2022 compared to 1809 units the previous month (August 2022), which is why the company may consider postponing the launch of their new crossover SUV.

However, Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan Limited (HACPL) continues to tease the launch of the Honda HR-V in Pakistan on their social media handles. “It’s time for an exciting new start.” HACPL wrote on social media, while sharing a teaser of the HR-V. ” The Honda HRV is coming your way.” it added.
