What Bad Habits Should You Stop Doing?

Stop saying things that you don’t mean:
“let’s have dinner sometime soon.” really? Do you really want to have dinner or you just want to say something nice?

Stop checking your phone while you are speaking:
You have your phone on you, possibly 24/7. It is very disrespectful to text or play with your phone while someone else has dedicated their attention to you. If you really must check it, excuse yourself first.

Stop looking around while speaking with someone:
Have the courage to maintain eye contact. It’s not easy, but it’s the right way to show that you are paying attention.

Stop complaining about the weather:
If you don’t like the weather where you leave, move. If you can’t move, stop complaining. You can’t control nature, so stop acting like a victim.

Stop watching trash on tv:
You certainly have better things to do than to waste your time on hours of meaningless shows. If you don’t, it’s the perfect time to find better things to do.

Stop eating junk food:
I know, they taste delicious and so easy to get. But if you consume junk food on a weekly basis, you are living in the present moment, but not in a good way. You seek instant gratification knowing full-well that you will develop diseases because of that. We’re all gonna die, but let’s not die because of our diets.

Stop responding to text messages right away:
Again, have better things to do than to carry your phone in your hand all day. In fact, hit that mute button. If someone needs to find you, they will. Unless you are expecting an important phone call, your phone should be on silence or on vibrate mode at all times.

Stop leaving negative comments:
By that, I mean on quora, YouTube, and on other platforms. If you don’t like what you see, move on. There is a human being who’s negatively affected by your comments. Have some compassion.

Stop posting so many photos from your vacation or food:
Other than perhaps your aunt, no-one cares. Unless you are a truly professional photographer, I guarantee you that the exact photo that you are taking has been taken x10 better by someone else.

Stop looking for shortcuts:
“become a millionaire in a year”, “get a six-pack in 30 days”, “find the perfect partner in 1 month”. They all seem tempting, but you know that this is not how life operates. You can take shortcuts, but you will pay for it in the long run. Just look at athletes who take steroids.
